Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Man United
    Fully deserved win for City.

Toure (MOTM), Barry, Zabaleta, Clichy and Nasri were very good.

Gutted to lose to a goal from a defensive mistake

    BUT

City were the better team and value for the win. We created no chances and didnt deserve a point

They should go on and win the title now. This has to go down as a collapse from us. 4 matches ago we had an 8 point lead

    Man United
    This wont finish 1-0.

and I dont think City will score again.

    You were saying!!!!!:D

United were just awful. At no stage did they look like scoring.

Think I'll put money on Utd if decent odds can be got. Still think City will **** it up.

No f**king way there was 5 minutes lost during that second half.

City deserve their win. United were terrible.

Newcastle still fighting for CL Spot so wouldn't rule anything out yet.

    Nice 1 well done City.

Other than Smalling going missing for the goal, United have actually defended quite well.
Yeah a bit desperate and lucky at times but generally defended well.

Going forward though... Never looked like creating anything.

I think Utd are more likely to drop points at Sunderland then City are at Newcastle.

Well done City, you have some great players.

City deserved it. Mother of all collapses from Utd.

    City's title. Congrats.

Manutd never looked like threating all night. SAF getting the team selection wrong with Park but comes down to a lack of quality which we lack.

    WE DID IT!!!!

What a win, cannot believe it! Barry fully deserved Man of the Match, Nasri not far behind along with Mad Pablo. Unreal, what a day to be a blue :D

    Man United
Tripe from United, Scholes looked his age out there tonight and Carrick's lack of mobility any United initiative.

Considering the goal difference, the league is over

Great game, could have done with a few more goals. Rooney was horrible. Also have to say that I've been loving Niall Quinn on co-commentary, much prefer him to Neville.

That game shows how bad the United midfield is. It is absolutely woeful. Some people are blind to think Carrick is good enough for United. He's good enough against the lower teams, but under pressure he hasn't a hope.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,352 ✭✭✭daveyboy_1ie

    Well done City.

United had no plan B, once they went behind it was curtains. Annoying but this race is not over yet. I think United will slip up against Sunderland too, but I also think Newcastleaway is a tough one for City too..

He was good, but surely one of Zabaleta or Kompany deserved MOTM?

City deserved that win in every sense. Congratulations.

Absolutely bloody gutted. But more-so because of the negative display and the bad attitude of some of the Utd. players.

It was a fair cop and 1-0 flattered us to be honest.

Good performance from City, deserved it. I'd be concerned about whether they can back it up away to Newcastle

Liam Gallagher with his own name on the jersey.

Astonishing stuff from Utd. Some of their play looked seriously amateur. So much poor distribution. Jones is a long way from being reliable at this level.

I think some of the younger english players Utd have will serve them well for years to come but right now I don't quite think they cut the mustard.

**** it anyway, losing the league on goal difference. Still 1 point in our run in from Wigan, Everton and City says it all.

City are 7-1 ahead over 2 games....handy 6 points for them!

Hated looking at that runt Liam Gallagher celebrating.

But City deserved the win, United lacked quality and looked really poor at times.

  • Administrators Posts: 54,087 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

Ferguson lacked the bollocks to select a team that could win that game.

That team selection had "please don't lose" written all over it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,883 ✭✭✭smokedeels

    well done City.

I can't understand our team selection and Phil Jones in general.... just wtf?

But City deserved it, Here's hoping Newcastle can do us a favour.
