though saying that i had a worse setup at my previous address
it envolved a chair, mop handle, 4 pieces of wood, clump of grass and a hedge. they were the days :)

what ever you do dont move the box, even a cm. :D

worst install i seen was the dish was installed onto a window sil, i had to move it, and do a new run of sat cable.

The question i asked was why did the installer put it on a window sil?
he could of easily moved the ladder 2 meters, unless he made his cable short?

nonetheless, what a crap install :)

    Very good install.
/me remember the day i used a garden fork to support my dish.

Nice cheap way for multi-satellite viewing! :D

Could you put trolley wheels on the box and a stick under the lid for motorised use? and BTW dont climb over my back wall again to take snaps :D

I experimented with the old 1m fibreglass dish wedged onto a step ladder. Opening the legs wider changed elevation and moving the whole assembly the East / West (azimuth)!

I think the nearly famous "Analoguesat" who maintains a history and current analog sat TX, had a dish sat in a car tyre once.

I think it would be a good laugh for this tread to be sticky. If any of the members sees an unusual install, take a snap and post it here.
Just a thought. I’m crap with a camera tough
