Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey all,
Looking for music recommendation to listen to. Looking for the fast diddly stuff, the stuff that, if played in a hall full of drunks, would get them all into fighting mood, jumping around, and going mad. There can be people singing, but they have to be singing fast, as otherwise I find the music slows down.

Sort of like Meitheamh by Lunasa, but more rage and/or feeling put into it. Just listening to the music would get you up and dancing.

If anyone has any recommendations of bands, or if there's a genre for this music, it'd be great. Basically something with the energy of celtic black metal, but without the metal, if that makes sense. Thanks :)

    The Bothy Band

Danú (slow start to tune goes into fast)
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-MrUX03mWM

These are not consistently fast though, they just have some fast tunes.

not very up to date with recent stuff if that's what you were looking for.

I'll look into Danu. The Bothy Bands "After Hours" (Live in Paris?) of '79 is good, but although it's very quick, it's more relaxing than fighting music.

Yeah, I'm an "old'wan" so my idea of fast and furious is probably miles apart from yours :D

Not really. A few of the bands that I came across were fairly old (it's sometimes called "fenian" trad?), but I forget their names.
