Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

There was a price increase for an item I had ordered. Got a manager to agree to the reserved price and got the 3 for 2 because the website still had the reduced price. The in store systems had a higher price though.

My items that went up are still the cheapest of the 3 so no point arguing....

Their lego prices are competitive with Smyths (most are slightly cheaper than Smyths) so it's still a good deal imo, thanks op.

None of my items were priced higher. I double checked just in case! :)

They honoured yesterdays price for us today

She also mentioned that they 'usually' do a lego promotion closer to christmas

Bump. On again til Tuesday. Saved myself €60 so far.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,283 ✭✭✭dinorebel

Looked at 5 toys 3 of which qualified for 3 for 2 came in at €89 looked at Smyths and the same 5 were 80 pretty sure Argos bumped all the prices of the 3 for 2 items.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 323 ✭✭deisediva

Had reserved a few items checked prices on Smyths just before I was going to collect all but 1 item of 6 cheaper in Smyths plus 6 off a 25 spend .
    So double check prices.

Possibly for the more popular toys but some of the stuff I bought was actually cheaper when the 3 for 2 started than it had been the day before when I was checking stock.

thats all great guys, but I just saved €92 on three lego sets.

this 3 for 2 sale is unbelievable when you think about it, as Lego is literally never reduced in price.

Argos conveniently out of stock of a lot of Lego in this "offer" !! :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,840 ✭✭✭Arciphel

Yes they have done something similar in the post I feel... There was one set my little one wanted, was out of stock but could be ordered for collection but the collection date was after the offer was over...

Does anyone know if Argos had any other offers after the 3 for 2 last year?

There are 2 items I want but not a third, and it's ending tomorrow. I'm wondering if there's any other discount that might come up.

    Thanks

I don't think they allow that on 3for2 purchases.

Im in the same boat, i was told at the till that there was no problem bringing anything back except for one item i got which was a chocolate lolly maker

You should be able to change it but wont be able to get a full refund on the item as its being effectively sold for 2/3 its price (assuming all 3 are the same price)

Nothing convenient, one of the busiest weeks in the year since the offer started. The weekend past was mad busy.

Offer is a crock for us, none of anything we wanted in stock since the promotion began...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,098 ✭✭✭Johnny_Fontane

interesting, we nailed the offer the day it happened using checkargos and reserving 9 toys. saved a small fortune.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,172 ✭✭✭screamer

I went in the night it started, got 3 toys she is looking for for 65 euro. Happy with that, and I always buy in the 3 for 2 sale every year.

I think they have the €5 voucher for €50 spend, €10 voucher for €100 spend, but not the 3 for 2 again this side of Christmas.
