Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Mullingar to Athlone duct

The new greenway between Mullingar and Athlone is to get a fibre optic duct. In what looks like an afterthought, Westmeath County Council tendered for some of this in the last week. The tender is now closed and site engineers are waiting for the stuff to arrive. Hope it doesn't end up like the Galway Mayo duct.

It's pretty much a given that it will. If the ducting is paid for by the state, then the project is considered state-aided, and the same rules apply. Unfortunately.

That said, it's better to have ducts in the ground than not to have ducts in the ground, so it's better than nothing.
