Tunnel closed

    Does anyone know why the tunnel was closed tonight?

    Also there was a strange noise sounding every few minutes, sounded like an alarm. It seemed to be coming from the tunnel or that area.

    There's some roadworks going on last night & tonight....it was advertised on AA roadwatch on today fm yesterday. There was supposed to be contraflow in operation for the duration.

    And as a result it's closed from the clonmaken roundabout side... Seems that weird alarm sounding noise is coming from Coonagh Cross

    Also saw a car facing the wrong way on the wrong side of the road on that stretch of road this evening
