Is audio records of boardrooms a common practice?

And why did they say what they said, knowing they would have been busted for it?

It was internal phonecalls that were recorded.

So they were bugged? By whom?

Their IT department. Not really bugged though.

Why do IT departments record conference calls?

Why did the managers implicate themselves knowing they were being recorded?

Be like a bank robber making sure to leave their finger prints on till and remove their mask and wink at the CCTV camera on the way out.

I do not understand how this came to be with the Anglo Tapes?

Surely they were recorded for quality and training purposes.

They're always banging on about that when I'm on hold.
