Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I searched for a person on this website and I got a hit.

However, the hit doesn't give much information. I only get a name and date of death (place of birth = "Ireland" :-( ). I am not sure if this is the person I am looking for. How can I get more information on this person? I assume that his death record would probably contain some more information, but what country would that be in? (He fought in USA army). And is there anywhere I could contact to get some military records for him?

The Commonwealth War Graves Commission may give you more or different information.

As he was with US Army, may be worth checking Ancestry.com (may require subscription).
