Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I lost the run of myself on a thread today and got a red infraction and a yellow card warning.
Do these mean anything? Last and only previous one was a yellow infraction 9 months ago

    Generally speaking...

A yellow is a warning. A 'heads-up' to say that your post was out of order - don't do it again.

A red is an infraction which is more serious & basically tells you that if you carry like that you will be banned.

Whats the difference between an infraction and a warning?

A warning is worth 0 points, a full infraction is worth 1.

A yellow card is "hey, stop that, please", a red card is "You really need to stop that now or else", a ban is, well, to stop you doing that. :)

Warnings are to keep a forum on track and as long as you heed them then there's nothing to worry about. If you are in any way unsure as to why you got one then a polite pm to the mod asking to explain is the first step.

Just to complicate things a little further, but probably not directly relevant to the OP's position, the Soccer Forum has a specific "totting-up" process. That's largely because of issues that have arisen over an extended period in the forum which also explains why is is necessary to apply for access to allow posting within that forum

What it means though is that if you pick up a number of yellows in that forum over a set period bans automatically follow. Hence 3 yellows within a "season" and there's an automatic 2 week ban. The bans escalate thereafter with access being removed if 6 yellows are picked up during a season. Posters may then apply to regain access after a period of 6 months, but that application may be rejected, particularly if the poster has proved troublesome with little evidence of a change in attitude
