Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Removing smoker's stench from bathroom?

We moved into a new apartment a few weeks ago and, with much effort, have successfully removed most of the stench from the previous tenant via leaving vinegar bowls everywhere, leaving doors and windows open and washing all the walls several times.

However, despite doing this also in the en-suite bathroom the stench is still sickening. In particular, after a shower the stench is always worst. It's as if the steam raises all the dormant smoke, and it seems endless with the smell spreading across the apartment each morning after a shower.

Would anybody have any solution to this other than the things mentioned above which we've already tried? Grma/Thanks.

Something that can often be overlooked is the actual light shades/ plastic covers to enclosed fittings and things like roller/ ventian blinds, curtains etc, all of which can trap odours and smoke stains.

if painting are you suppose to use a stain guard or sealant first as i found out it can come through new paint.
