Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have a load of guitars.

I build all but two of them myself, and one of those is modded beyond all recognition.

    the problem is........

I have about 6 that need a bit of fine tuning setup wise..... and frankly, because I have others to play.... I can't be bothered!

    Variax needs a setup.
fan fret acoustic, needs a new nut, buzzy 5th string
    Jumbo acoustic needs fret dress
Guitar bodied bouzouki needs fret dress.
Tenor guitar needs saddle intonation sorted.
    12 string needs new strings

they're all still PLAYABLE, but the other 8 or so instruments around the house get played more......

NEXT week I'm off work and the kids will all be back at school, so HOPEFULLY, I'll get at it......

I tend to restring, clean and setup all my instruments in the same afternoon. Then, I'll play one guitar until the strings are dead (or I want to start playing with alt tunings if there's a Floyd). Just need to set aside an afternoon to do them, and then do them factory style - destring them all, clean them all, restring them all.

Restringing guitars is one of the things I hate most in the world. I have many guitars with old rusting strings for that reason.
