Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hey guys, have a quick question, Im doing a fetac course this year in social care for a year, its level 4. I was just wondering would this in anyway be accepted on the skilled occupations list (272511 Social worker) or would I need a degree.

    Thanks

Not much of an answer sorry and this is only my personal opinion but I highly doubt it would be accepted.

And I think also that application points are awarded on a scale for education. PhD(Level 9), Bachelor(8), Diploma(7). So having a Level 4 might not contribute anything to your application

A migration agent would be the best person to ask.

    Best of luck with it

Unfortunately no. You need to have completed a Bachelor degree as minimum to achieve a positive assessment. The only way you'd be considered with lower than a 4 year degree is if you've got substantial work experience.

    http://www.aasw.asn.au/careers-study/faqs
The AASW has introduced new assessment criteria and can now offer an assessment of qualifications which are lower than degree level. It will be necessary to also submit further supporting documentation to evidence how your initial social work qualifying program in combination with any further relevant studies and paid professional work experience evidences that you meet the AASW requirements. This evidence must be verified by a referee. Please see the relevant application form for further information.
