Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi, does anyone know of anywhere in Dublin, such as a fair or market, where I can sell paintings? Somewhere where I don't have to pay a big fee to set up, or even for free?

    Thanks

The Peoples Art is an exhibition run in Dublin, around the railings of Stephen's Green, 5 or 6 times a year, the first one in Spring, several in summer followed by a Christmas event.
It's cheap to book a spot, €25, and that gets you an approximately 12ft stretch of railing to show off your wares.

There are some rules but check the site for those.
It's good fun, you get to meet lots of interesting artists, there's no vetting so no one judges you prior to allowing you in, and you can sell to the great unwashed and owe no one commission!
I have done this exhibition for some 7 years, taking break in the last 2 but going to get back into it this year.
Since people sell well, others don't, the public are a fickle bunch!
I have never failed to sell at least one painting there, of a weekend, so I have recouped my costs each time, which are minimal tbh, though if you bring a car the parking fees can be mental.

    Cheers!

I had known about the Stephens Green exhibitions before, but I didn't know it was as cheap as €25. I'll definitely have a look into that.

    Thanks again!
