Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Took a spill on the bike a couple weeks ago and tore part of the heel off my Specialized Comp road shoes

Any ideas on how to fix this?

I've tried Sugru but the rubber base (pic below) came away after a couple days commuting.

Went to a cobbler this morning who said there's nothing they can do - which is a bit of a defeatist attitude if you ask me

Has anyone had to repair something similar before?

    Cheers.

any good cobbler should be able to fix it, it just needs a 2 pack glue and only cost about €5

I think the fact that I don't have the original red heel part is an issue for them.
Went to see another couple at lunchtime, the best I got was a free shoe heel which I'll trim/shape & glue on myself.

The more expensive Specialized shoes have replacement heel lugs so one to be aware of next time.

Timpsons in Stephen's Green SC, just a regular old shoe heel.
