Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Modern Railways magazines - disposing to IRRS??

    I have a number of Modern Railways magazines that I wish to dispose of, and instead of putting them in the recycling bin, I thought somebody might like them.

    I was thinking of offering them to the IRRS, but I can't find an e-mail address on their website.

    Does anybody know how to contact them?

    Or maybe they wouldn't want them?

    There are 30 magazines, from 1997 to 2012.

    Downpatrick might be a better home as they have a more modern outlook with the diesels and whatnot and sell secondhand books

    Have a look here for some information on what they take and don't take. While there may not be anything of specific interest to them in the magazines per se, they do sell off some magazines like these at a nominal price so it may bring in a few euro to their coffers. Downpatrick would take them in as well to sell but the cost of getting them up there may put you off of this option.

    The IRRS kindly got back to me and don't want them.

    I will try Downpatrick.

    I'd say that's about the place for them. Preserved railways get piles of old magazines, they hardly ever shift even if you gave them away for buttons.
