Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all

I started a new job 20 weeks ago having been out of work for over 2 years, the present company is under pressure and it's rumored that we will be going on a 3 day week soon.

I'm wondering when I sign for my 2 days will I get anything from the social seeing as all my stamps have been used up when I was unemployed and my wife is also working full time..

The uncertainty shrouding me again has me up to 90 so to know that something from the social welfare might balance the books slightly would ease my fears..

    Thanks in advance.

You may requalify for Jobseeker's Benefit as you have now paid 13 PRSI Contributions since half way through your last Benefit claim.
However it depends on your contributions for 2010 - what were you doing for most of 2010? Did you work for any of the year? Were you in receipt of JSB for it? Your earnings in this year affect the rate of payment you will receive also.

I was on jsb and then jsa in 2010 with no stamps earned at all..

    Cheers for the help

Because your earnings were zero in 2010, you would only qualify for the lowest rate of Benefit, which is €84.50 per week (if you were fully unemployed). This would be paid on a pro rata basis depending on number of days you have worked that week.
