Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Road rage incident...

I gestured at another driver to overtake me while I was stopped at the side of the road (trying to parallel park). He rolled down the window, gave out to me for waving and then speed off before I could explain that I just didn't want to delay him...

    Am I missing some rule?

Giving out to someone is road rage now?

    Pretty much.

    OP, just forget about it.

he probably misinterpreted your waving as a rude gesture

I'd be careful about waving through where someone approaching from behind - if he hit someone/thing in the act of passing you he could perhaps (IANAL) claim you indicated he was clear to pass.

Even if you did indicate/wave, the person in control of the car is the only one responsible for that car.

Strictly speaking, any hand gestures should be indications of what you intend to do, not directions to other road users. But he was probably just a crank.
