Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi guys,
Just put a JVC Avx830 in my car.
Previous to this the stock clarion gave good radio reception.
Now I get the main ones - 2fm todayfm spin etc and the local stations, but its flakey at best. And very poor as i drive the 50miles to work

Any idea's how to improve it?

I had the Avx in my old car and it was fine for radio reception *i think*, but i didnt have to drive 100miles a day to work and back then. So it may have been as bad, im not sure...

    Any advice?
    Thanks!

Its a 406 coupe, with an aftermarket aerial fitted.
It has a sharkfin but the radio signal isnt coming from that. The aerial is one of those in the back windscreen type's

Is there a way of testing it for signal strength?
The pre-amp ones seem to be less than 5pound on ebay... Id go for it but it might just be the same as my own...
Apparently poor grounding is a major cause...
I've a parking sensor installed in the boot with decent ground so i could try that
    Any other adivce?
