Left click button on laptop not working- how much to repair?

The left click button on my laptop has stopped working. Having taken the button off I can see that the tiny, jelly-like piece (excuse my lack of technical knowledge!) has broken off. Does anyone have any idea if this can be repaired, and if so, have any idea of the cost or suggestions where this might be carried out?…
