Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Are you saying most Dub fans are fair weather fans...?It certainly looks like that to me as a complete outsider to the GAA.

I dont follow GAA but I certainly wouldnt be walking to croker and then sitting or standing in the pissing rain if I hadnt already bought a ticket considering it was some backdoor crap. I presume a lot of fans stayed away because Dublin were awful last time out and ended up entering via the backdoor.

They just announced a competition on rte during the WC coverage, the question was how many countries qualified for the 2010 WC.
    The choices were..
    A: 32
    B: 33
    C: 34
Surely the answer is 31 cos south Africa didn't qualify..

They really didnt qualify (all host nonsense aside) in africa the teams use the same qualifying games for the african cup of nations and the world cup and south africa actually failed to qualify for both!

anyway this would hurt I imagine

Can they not 'qualify' as hosts. Technicality sure.

Although, Maybe Ireland also 'qualified' so the answer is 32.

I recorded this, I'll have to give it a watch tomorrow.

I decided to watch xXx on RTE2 with Vin Diesel. It's a movie I've always wanted to watch, was pretty good too :).

Unbelieveable scenes. Those umpires are shambolic. How in the name of God did they not see how that goal was scored.

And then the ref being attacked!!

The match thread in the GAA forum has being temporarily locked, it's gone into meltdown!! :pac:

I love a bit of drama.

    *Heads to Gah forum*

Thankfully they follow Gah and not Soccer, god help the Louth fans if they had to put up with Richie Winter and Anthony Buttimer on a weekly basis in the League of Ireland.

you look down and you see a toroise Leon..

Do you make up these questions Mr Holden?
Your in a desert walking along in the sand..
    Is this the test now?
Yes. Your in a desert walking along in the sand when all of a sudden you look down..
    What one?
    What?
    What Desert..?
Doesnt make any difference what desert it is, its completely hypothetical
Well how come Id be there ?
Maybe you were found out, maybe you wanted to be there by yourself, who knows?
You look down and you see a tortoise Leon, its crawling towards you.
    Tortoise ? Whats that ?
You know what a turtle is ?
    Of course.
    Same thing.
Never seen a turtle. But I understand what you mean.
You reach down, you flip the tortoise on its back Leon..
Do you make up these questions Mr Holden? Or do they write em down for ya?
The tortiose lays on its back, its belly baking in the hot sun, beating its legs trying to turn itself over but it cant. Not without your help. But your not helping. Why is that Leon?
They're just questions Leon. In answer to your query, they're written down for me. They invoke, an emtotional response. Shall we continue ?
Describe in single words, only the good things that come into your mind about... your mother..
    My mother?
    Yeah.
Let me tell ya about my mother..
    blam blam blam, holden dies.
