    hi

    Heating

I am trying to establish an approx costs of heating a 4000sq foot home. The house was build in 2010 with standard insulation, current rated C2 BER

    Oil boiler
2 rooms underfloor heating and 7 rooms, 3 bathrooms and hall, landing are radiator heated. Thermostatic valves on rads and also log burner with back boiler

Trying to determine roughly on average how much it would take to heat this house? Not including any saving from using log burner as it won't be used all time

Anyone have similar size house? How much cost to heat?

    Private Well

The property has a private well and as home is not being lived in I cannot tell if it is built correctly. Any recommendations on what to look out for with homes with private well?

    Thanks million

How long is a piece of string. ..

Cost will depend on so many factors, primarily how new / old / effecient is your oil boiler. How clean / effecient / well controlled is the heating system.
Do you have good zoning with thermostats and how warm do you like to have the rooms and for how long during the day.
And of course what price you pay for the fuel.

To get a reasonable assessment of cost you would need to supply the boiler with a measured amount of fuel over a set time while monitoring temperatures and running times.

Depends on what type/make, size and accurate age of oil boiler, please let us know ?
As boilers are like cars, some have good mpg.
4000sqf house then its important to have a good boiler.
