Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I think it's good that they've moved Nuacht RTÉ from the time it used to be on at (5.20) to 5.40/5.45. More people watch it (see it at least) while waiting for the Six One to come on. I think the news output from it is quite good.

I don't like how limited the studio for Nuacht RTÉ is though. I know it's only a 10 minute bulletin, but the one-camera, stare straight ahead nature of the set up makes it look very basic.

Nuacht TG4 can at times be like a visual version of Galway Bay FM/Highland Radio- it can be very colloquial in the stories it runs with. That's a good thing, but sometimes very significant national stories are pushed down to number 2/3 because of a fairly small development in An Spidéal or the likes. For that reason it's not really feasible as a main news bulletin for those outside of an Ghaeltacht. I still watch it fairly regularly though, and I think their presentation is much better since they got the new studio.

EDIT: Bheinn níos cúramaí faoi bheith ag postáíl chuile áit faoi do chuid taighde, seans nach dtaitneoidh sé sin leis na mods, seans gur spam atá ann. I presume you have Irish?

We dont watch Nuacht but the piece after it where the subtitles come up with the guy doing the sign language my two daughters (who are 5 and 6) copy what the guy is saying - it's like their learning sign language. Some of the girls shows have a "signer" and they again copy.

RTE appear to have stopped doing Cinnlínte Nuachta after the One O'Clock News on weekdays - but TG4 now have a "Nóiméad Nuachta" bulletin just before 2pm.

I gather these two developments are connected...
