dvd buring problems

    i have a dell xps 1330 and im trying to burn a dvd and it says no dvd drive detected etc

    i checked the hardware list and it says working fine etc

    im using xp operating system and it was working last week

    im using roxio software

    any ideas ??

    First, just try all the variables:
    -different burning software, something like CDBurnerXP (free to download)
    -different drivers, or reinstall the current ones.
    -different DVD discs
    -different OS (Vista is the only one that is officially supported for the m1330)

    Thats a start anyway, should help narrow it down.
