I'v never been asked for credit/debit card details ever on PP.com.

You can withdraw your winnings through any shop. I withdraw all mine to my bank account but it was never a compulsory option that they asked for.

this is the email they sent me..

Discussion Thread Response Via Email (Alan)21/05/2012 03.33 AM Hi Gareth,

As a responsible operator, Paddy Power has to confirm that all users of our service are over 18 years of age.

To make this process as simple as possible for our customers, we utilise a number of electronic checks to confirm your age and identity.Unfortunately, these checks are not perfect and we cannot validate 100% of our customers electronically.

Unfortunately, as we were unable to electronically validate your details. Because of this we had to suspend your account for the time being until we can verify all the details given.
To re-activate your account, we require a copy of the following documents:

∙ Bank statement (card number, name and address visible)
∙ Photo ID (passport or drivers licence)
∙ The front and back of your registered credit/debit card (you can block out all details from the front of your card apart from the last four digits of the card number and your name)

Once we receive and verify these documents your account will be reactivated.

If you have any further queries please click here to avail of our Live Help or send us a Tweet to @AskPaddyPower.

    Kind Regards,
    Alan

But sure you have to put all your details on your account if you want the money going into your bank?

    Fair enough man.

You're in safe hands anyway no matter what you send them.

All the best and well done on the money.

Its not that i dont trust them mainly, its also the time factor, i have to send everything off, wait for it to be processed which the guy said could be a week, and then retransfer the cash from my Paddy Power account into my bank which could take up to 4 days, and its my girlfriends birthday at the weekend and i now have the princely sum of 18 euro in my bank account:pac:

Yep, same thing happened to a friend of mine after he had a frankly ridiculous run of luck on the roulette app on PP Online. Suddenly he had to provide a copy of his passport etc.

Its so strange that you have to do that to withdraw 300 quid, I wouldnt say any verification would be needed when youre depositing that.

Nope, that's protocol. You have to provide proof that you are you when signing up to any gambling website.

I didnt have to when I signed up to pp back before mania. I didn't win anything, mind. :(

Really? I remember scanning my drivers licence to send to them and verify my age.

Mustn't be until you win something :P

absolutely standard, i had to do it when i was sorting out a transfer for playing poker on it and it covers me for everything on the site now, they accepted digital photos of all my documents etc

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 42,602 Mod ✭✭✭✭Lord TSC

I havent had to do it either yet but then I only ever win a euro or two at a time.

Had to do it when I got onto the stock market though.

Hit on an accumulator of Punk, Johnny, Layla, Sheamus and Kane. €82 richer :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,600 ✭✭✭✭CMpunked

I can see this being pulled soon, i cant see PP gaining a lot of money from this as the only people who would be putting big money on matches are the ones that are 100% sure as to who is going to win. (Over the limit
    Like Ace for example.
    )

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,054 ✭✭✭D.Q

I suppose their thinking is that if they can get people to sign up to the site, they will eventually lose their money back on some other bet.

Novelty bets are a honeypot to attract new customers. Any mug who would bet on wrestling matches are worth their weight in gold to a company like PP.

Time to bump the topic for No Way Out.

    http://www.paddypower.com/bet/novelty-betting/sports-novelties/wwe

    Cena 4/6 vs Show 11/10

    Sheamus 1/3 vs Dolph 2/1

    Christian 4/6 vs Cody 11/10

    Layla 8/11 vs Beth Evens

Punk 9/11 vs Bryan 2/1 vs Kane 7/2

Why don't Paddy Power accept accumulators?

Exactly, you can only win a few quid anyways. They may lose on these matches but its peanuts compared to racing, football and the like.

My brain says Sheamo is. The other two....I'd tend to favor Christian and Beth as the champions tbh.

D Bry is a cert imo, winning by pinning Kane.

    Haha.

I've made a tad over 200 euro in 2 events (Wrestlemania and Over the Limit), not much but it's enough from an accum and a couple of singles :)

I've watched only a couple of hours of wrestling since the last PPV, and I'm probably being kind in the amount of time. But, I'll do a quick catch up later on after the basketball and take it from there. Probably will post the bets in my betting log.

    Turned 3€ into 9€ with a
    Cena/Christian/Sheamus
    bet :P

Had a dabble on Punk/Sheamus/Cena in a treble. Though I expect there'll be a cash in on the night, they should still retain in their matches. Cena is an obvious winner.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 42,602 Mod ✭✭✭✭Lord TSC

    Went with three bets....

    Ok, went with three bets.

    Cena/Sheamus/Punk - 4€ into 11€
    Ziggler/Show/Sheamus - 1€ into 18€
    Tensai/Show/Punk/Del Rio - 50c into 99€

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,491 ✭✭✭thebostoncrab

I'm gonna take a risk wih Bryan/Del Rio/Cena/Ziggler and see what happens!

  • Registered Users Posts: 82 ✭✭Motion118

Went with Punk, Sheamus, Cena and Rhodes. Knowing my luck Bryan will finally win the WWE title after me betting on him in the previous two PPVs, but yeah, I'm sure I'll get at least 3/4 right... hopefully.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 42,602 Mod ✭✭✭✭Lord TSC

I reckon Punk is keeping the title, so they can set up Cena vs Punk at Summerslam...

I thought the plan for SummerSlam was to have Big Show vs. Punk?

I had been looking at an accumulator of

    Big Show
    Cody Rhodes
    CM Punk
    Sheamus

    5e = 198e

The joys of "plans" and the net; I heard Punk vs Cena (which was planted in the segment on Raw between Punk and Eve), but I guess we won't know until they actually make the match on TV...

Paddy Power have suspended betting.

Gone with a patent of Sheamus/Punk/Cena.

Small stakes but we'll see what happens

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,235 ✭✭✭ceegee

Went with accumulators of AdR/Bryan/Cena/Rhodes and AdR/Bryan/Cena/Ziggler

plus singles on AdR,Bryan,Cena and Rhodes.

Happy with that. Two PPVs in a row that have left me in profit. Very nice that in the main event, I was pretty much garunteed a profit too :)

    Betting is up for Summerslam.

    Fairly confident Brock's winning, aren't they :P

That's mad 4/1 for HHH. Might have some of that

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 42,602 Mod ✭✭✭✭Lord TSC

I'm hoping it stays that way till they start up the accumulators :P

Triple H at odds of 4/1 won't last long.

What are the rules regarding DQ/Count Out etc.? Do PP pay out on the winner regardless or is it a no contest?

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 42,602 Mod ✭✭✭✭Lord TSC

Well DQs and count outs means there's a winner, so they presumably pay out on correct bets there.
Draws (i.e. no contests) result in a no bet iirc....

What's the max stake on HHH?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,143 ✭✭✭ciano316

So lads what you's thinking on the HHH 4/1.

    Here's my thoughts.

Lesnar 'breaks' HBK's arm on RAW with HHH looking on and looks like Lesnar is coming out on top on RAW which usually means HHH will get the win at SummerSlam.

Then yet again Lesnar already lost to Cena and do you think Lesnar has signed a years deal to lose to all the big guys in the WWE?

WWE.com reports that HBK won't be at SummerSlam now so maybe this leaves the door open for a surprise HBK appearance looking to help HHH win the match but maybe ends up costing HHH the match..

    thoughts???

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 42,602 Mod ✭✭✭✭Lord TSC

    HHH is now evens....

    And accumulators are now up...

    EDIT:

    Have put a fiver on

Brock Lesnar, The Miz, CM Punk, Kane and Dolph Ziggler to win.

    €51 returns at the moment...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,888 ✭✭✭Charisteas

    And Brock is now 8/11.

If I had bet on him when he was 1/7 I would be pretty pi$$ed right now!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,949 ✭✭✭A Primal Nut

Lesnar and Triple are both 5/6 now...some change. Should have went with HHH at 4/1.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 83 ✭✭scon86

Just looking at the odds for Summerslam tonight and seen John Cena is 5/2 for the win, giving all the talk about Cena-Rock at RR for the WWE title does anybody else think this is a big price.
