Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Summer Job 2015

    Hello,

I'm a fifth year student and my school year is finished tomorrow. Unfortunately, I have no summer job lined up this summer and plan on buying a car this summer.

I have 6+ months work experience as a cashier in a service station and 3 days work experience in an office as part of my LCVP portfolio.

I live in a fairly big town and have tried all the local supermarkets, a few pubs and the local hotel and there is really no work out there (not that I can see anyway) .

Any recommendations (or offers!) would be greatly appreciated. I'm in the North Cork area.

If you any bit handy at gardening there will always be people looking for grass cutting, trimming hedges, tidying ****e out of garages, clearing weeds from paved driveways etc.
Run up a notice and leave in a few shops and maybe do a bit of door to door. Once you get a bit of work you would be surprised how the word spreads and you get more.
I remember doing a Summer like that and when back in college in the Autumn I got loads of Saturday work tidying up leaves on lawns befoe the Winter kicked in. I had to get another lad with me in the end.
