Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Any deals on Garmin 220 or 620? Wiggle have 220 for €245 and 620 (with HRM-RUN) for €400
Do you know anyone who travels to the US for work? Amazon.com has the 220 for around €185, and the 620 bundle for around €329.

A friend of mine was trying to get a Garmin 220 (for Christmas), but http://www.amazon.com wouldn't let him use an Irish credit card.
    He ended up using: http://www.clevertraining.com/
and spent €220 including delivery on the watch.

Nope - he might have been lucky.
To be honest, I don't really know how it works [if it has be over a certain amount or not]
Delivery was fairly sharpish - he got the watch within 10 working days [over the crazy Christmas period]

I've had no problem using a Irish credit card, but only if the delivery is to a US address. So you ship it to a work location, hotel or fiend in the US and get someone to bring it back for you. Amazon doesn't charge state tax also, so it often makes it the cheapest option for buying electronic goods in the US.

620 with HRM-RUN is ~€290 on clevertraining with DCrainmakers 10% discount. Friend coming back from US in March so just have to play the waiting game now rather than risk getting caught for customs and VAT. Will sell my 410 to cover the cost also

www.probikekit.co.uk have a 10% discount at the moment.
At checkout put in SAVE10PBK to get a further 10%.

Nice find and great price, but if buying I would say inquire about the HRM as the pic is showing the old HRM, not the new HRM RUN with the new strap (black and gold looking).

in this picture (link below) it looks like the heart rate strap garmin have on their own site? on the last garmin I got the HRM came in the same box with the watch so I assume it would all be pre-boxed together and you get the standard HRM you are supposed to get

That pic doesn't show the HRM RUN, it does show the new 2013 premium strap thou. The HRM RUN has a little white man symbol on the front.

Has anybody got the 220/620? How do you find it? Are the V02Max calculations good for showing how you running is developing or just a gimmick?

Have the FR620 and love it as can use it as a daily watch also, previously had the FR410 (for sale on adverts if anyone looking!). The V02Max calcs are just using Jack Daniels VDOT tables which you can reference yourself online with a recent race time.

Bought "Anatomy For Runners" by Jay Dicharry, Kindle version for £0.99 on amazon.co.uk

Recommended for anyone who is injured or wants to avoid it.

You don't need to have a Kindle to read an ebook - can also be downloaded to PC or Android device.

They actually aren't. They are using Firstbeat so it shows you your potential rather than actually based on race results.

Sorry, my bad. As a side note, my FR620 has shown lately 49-51 whereas using VDOT for recent races my VDOT has been 53.

By applying the promotional voucher code at the checkout, a discount of 10% will be applied to the BASKET PRICE of your chosen items when you spend £50 or more on running footwear

Please view our Guide to applying a promotional voucher code to your order.
Anyone get the above by email they'd like to share? Or any other wiggle codes about at the minute.

    Has anyone bought from http://www.sportingpro.co.uk/

They appear to have quite a few runners at 50% off - working out way cheaper than my usuals for shoes online (sportsshoes / wiggle).

p.s. Hope its okay to post this (mods delete if not okay) but if anyone is interested in a pair of size 9.5 Asics excel 33 2's then PM me. I stupidly purchased a pair whilst in a rush at the outlet a few weeks back. Got a size 9.5 and they are way too big on me (i'm normally a 9). Ran approx 32 miles in them.

    Salomon Sense Mantra 2
That's a good price on those, my current pair are still going well at almost 500 miles.

Tried them on the other day. Had the Faas 800 but they didn't suit me. The 500 felt lovely though. Seemed to have nice cushioning. Nice and light too. Considering them for Waterford at the end of June. At that price you couldn't go wrong.
