Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Can anyone recommend somewhere around Dublin 15 where I can get the DPF removed on my 2009 Focus? And how much it would cost. I see ones on done deal for €250-300 but don't know how reputable they are....

    Thank you.

Just a point of note. The price of new car parts can be considerably cheaper in the North than the south even after the currency change. It might be worth getting pricing from a Ford dealer up there.

If so it might be worth getting the DPF unit there and asking a local mechanic to fit it.

I heard this is now MOT failure, so risk is that it might be a NCT soon, might need to look into that more closely

Does anyone know anything about the proposed changes that may make this illegal next year? I've heard it from a few people, but not seen anything conclusive.

All I have found is this

    http://www.rsa.ie/Documents/Vehicle%20Std%20Leg/Emissions%20regs/Euro%205%20and%20Euro%206%20Emissions%20Reg%20light%20passengercommvehicles.pdf

Which isn't really clear, but might suggest that regulations would apply to newer (>2011?) cars only?

Yeah - it is a MOT failure, but lots in the UK seem to be getting away with it.

If it becomes a NCT failure item, I'm pretty sure it will be harder to pass over here, unless they go visual only, in which case you could just have it hollowed out. But I doubt that.

Did they fit a pass through pipe or just hollow it out?

Did you need changes made to the ECU as well?
