Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Where would be a good place to meet up? Anyone have opinions on this? We ALWAYS seem to be going to the Old Oak so perhaps its time for a different starting place :-)

Hmm, old oak is always good... then again probably one of the most jammed places that day.. as is everything around patrick street/oliver plunkett street...
Im guessing should still start somewhere there, also those places easier to find for newbies usually... maybe after that in evening we could go to some (hopefully) less crowded place...franciscan well... umm... whatever:P anywhere is good for me :D

I love that place, going there at least every second weekend myself..
But yeah, anyway, we can actually just decide starting point and then decide later what we do:)

I'd also be keen on the well.

    Or maybe the Abbots Alehouse.

Before we start arranging meeting places for drinks, who is coming out before the pub?

I'll be heading in for the race anyone coming along to that I would suggest meeting up around 11:20ish outside Merchants Quay shopping centre.

If anyone is going to the Parade and wants to meet up as well we could say in the same place around 12:30.

If the weather is good then somewhere with a beer garden (Franciscan Well has a good one) would be a plus but we'll see that on the day.

I'd be up for the Abbot Ale house as well as I've never been there.

PM sent, if anyone else needs a number they can PM me.

Wispyman volunteered his number too so you could pm him also. Not sure what time he'll be out though.

You might be the only one able to stand up;)

So where is the first port of call after the parade?

  • Registered Users Posts: 373 ✭✭wispyman

I will probably come in for the parade and then look to see where everyone is after that. I still have your number Mudokon (still never done the 3am heavy breathing thing - YET) so I can see where you all are.

Anyone who is coming out AFTER the parade is welcome to PM me for a contact number if your worried about not finding anyone. Not much point if your wanting to find people BEFORE the parade though so I am sure someone with those plans will volunteer:D

Nor me! I'd love to pop in for one or two at least. Does that suit people?

The race is from Brian Boru bridge to Patricks bridge. We could go to the Abbot Ale house after the parade and move on from there after.

Nah man, I headed home; I texted someone to see if they were out but they weren't (probably just as well seeing as I had work in the morning). I bought a current scone in the Centra on Oliver Plunkett street, took it home and eat it with a nice cup of tea before hitting the hay.
I was actually pleasantly surprised to be able to get a scone at that time of night...

    Hey guys

I would be interested in meeting up for a social night if that would be ok? Are new people welcome? Do people meet up once per month or more often?

    Thanks

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,129 ✭✭✭LenaClaire

    Hi,

We are always open to new people :) We usually meet up about once a month or so. A new thread will probably pop up soon for the April meet-up so just keep your eye out!

Absolutley footieguy; the Cork boardsies always love to see a new face at a meetup. We usually meet up once a month but there have been a few times where we've had them twice a month.
