What Did i find??

    Its about 5mm long with 6 legs, blue in color, with four yellow spots on either side, and two at the neck, body looks like all one part, long and narrow. It uses its tip of its tail to stick to glass ans it is moving. Its body has six lines of spike ridges alone its back.


    Any suggestions??

    checked all irish ground beetles and no sign

    Ok I think I have a likely possibility.
    A ladybird larva ie. a young one.
    look up larvae of 7 spot ladybird. I think this fits your description

    Excellent, well done, looks very alike. Except i see blue instead of black as in your pics... maybe i will get some one else to have a look at the color. Unless you can get a blue and orange lady bird??

    I was astonished at the amount of beetles and subgroups families etc.... Unbelievable really aint it?

    Glad you got an insight in a different world.

    I wouldn't get too hung up about slight colour variations (blue/black) fairly normal in animal world.
