Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I keep getting a message saying Error 2: Share Not Available when I select Windows Network (SMB)?? I have the folder shared out on my Windows 8 machine and other programs like ES File Explorer can see it fine??

    Cheers,
    M

Gonna try this on the Nexus 10 tonight. Anyone know anything about the "Error 2: Share Not Available" error? Anyone else getting it?

    Thanks,

I tested it yesterday on a sanei N10 tablet and I was getting different errors due to problems with wifi link.

Does anyone know if i can point the xbmc to my WD TV and stream the files from that?
Is it as simple as putting in the IP address? Would I use SMB also?
    Thanks

Beta3 is broken for me 720p or 1080p videos with soft subs stutter like hell. Oh well

There might be NFS option somewhere on WD TV (I don't have the device) and it seems to be a better option for sharing than SMB.

    Couple of questions

    1. I installed the ARM version on my Tegra device. IT seems to work OK but should I uninstall it to install the Tegra supported version or just install the Tegra build on top of it?

    2. How exactly do you install a skin? e.g. this one:

    http://code.google.com/p/jezzxbmc/downloads/detail?name=skin.re-touched-1.5.0.zip

    3. When I start it up I get a message saying the remote media server is unavailable. Does this matter?

    4. How do I get it to display the tiled view of films/series as opposed to the folder/thumbnail view?

    1. Yes, I would.

    2. I wouldn't be installing a skin from zip unless you know it's supported, go to settings--> addons, and add a supported one there from their repo. There are only 1 or 2 skins upgraded to support XBMC on Android as it uses touchscreen gestures

    3. You must have yours set to autoscan for new content on boot. This is probably a bad idea, much better to manually scan every so often

    4. It depends on the skin, but in the default Confluence you set the View to thumbnail in the side menu to the left

    Hi guys,
I am able to get it to see my shared folder which is sitting on my Windows 8 laptop once I manually enter in all the details but it does not seem to be able to find it automatically, why is this do any of you know?

    Thanks,
    M

The re-touched skin linked in the XDA thread won't install on the RC I went back to a build from the 6/12 and it installs fine. It's from the same creator as the original touched skin.
In saying that the Touched skin available already in the settings menu works fine for the RC but is a bit too appley for my like.

Only got the Nexus 7 yesterday and have yet to try this app. I have XBMC Remote (very snazzy app to show off to people in me house) and ES Explorer for streaming to the tablet at the moment.

Since it's in beta, how's it running with the repositories? When I get this set up on the tablet my Media Center will have turned into a Media House :D

Yes, you can stream via an SMB share. Just use the WDTV IP address and the share name of the external WDTV drive.

I'm still not completely sure which file to download for a Tegra device. Can someone give me a direct link to the latest APK?

I think it's this one but al not 100%

If it's tegra 2 then yep the non neon version is the right one.
If it's tegra 3 then the neon version you do want.

It's a tegra 3 (Acer a510) so I guess I should stick with what I have as it's working grand.

You've linked to the non neon in your post.
As tegra 3 supports neon commands you'll want this one

I have the same problem streaming from an NSA310 to my galaxy tab2. The stock video player on the tablet plays the stream no problem.

I guess they're still a few bugs to be sorted out with this.

Any streaming over wireless will always be hit and miss

It streams 720p perfectly for me. Then again I realised that BSPlayer could play everything over the network so I'm kind of not using XBMC any more.
