Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Window control reversed - Honda Jazz

Looking at a 2002 Honda Jazz. The driver's electric window control is reversed (press switch down to raise window and pull switch up to lower the window). Also, the 'Auto' function doesn't work.

I've taken the switch assembly apart and it does not look like the block connector that powers all 4 switches has been been messed with. I didn't take the door panel off yet to check the window regulator. But, as that is a block connector as well, I can't imagine the wiring has been reversed either. I will get the panel off to confirm though.

Anyone know what might be causing this? All other windows are operating normally. Thanks.

Perhaps the switch has been refitted back to front or the connector. Not familiar with the Jazz, just a guess...

Maybe. The block connector is keyed so can only be fitted one way.

Could it be on the window motor end - if the regulator / motor assembly in the door has been replaced and the wiring was reversed there?

Just to update the thread - got the panel off and sure enough, a bodge job had been done on the 2 wires going into the motor. Fortunately there were spade connectors, which just needed some tidying up (and switching over ;)), and it was back in action.

The fuse for the window did blow after I had everything back together that created some panic but luckily I searched for the simplest cause first.
