Rear door not locking in 02 VW Polo

Got a used VW Polo and just discovered that the rear left door won't lock, not even manually! The handle doesn't work at all except from the outside. Where is there an affordable VW mechanic around Dublin? Or is it doable myself if I can follow a guide and buy the parts. Thankfully I have a private compound to keep it in…
