Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Dirty diesel in Turners Cross area in Cork????

    Hi guys,
I wont name the garage in Cork but I filled up my 08 Mondeo yesterday with €95 of diesel from this garage. I have the car 3 mths and has been very reliable. It was my first time going to this garage. Anyway, car stalled approaching the Abbeyleix toll about an hour and a half later and had to call a tow truck. Had to push the car under the barrier. Car was running very smoothly on the motorway. It was brought to a main dealers in Portlaoise who got it going again after putting it on the diagnostics - which said something along the lines of fuel rail pressure low. They thought possibly dirty fuel or dirt in tank (by the way they would not take a cent for looking at it - fair dues - could not beleive it). Drove onto Dublin and on returning car stalled again near Cashel as I came off the motor way. Again could not get it going. A real dose when you have the wife and a 4 year old kid and a boot full of Ikea stuff in the car. Have to take it to garage tmrw.
    Few questions
    1. Is it possible I got bad diesel and how do I prove it - still have the receipt.
2 Does the Mondeo (1.8) have to go to a main dealer if its the pump
    3. if it is the pump - what are likely cost in a dealer and a local garage.
I just think it is a coincidence that just over an hour after filling up the car breaks down. The car was showing no symptoms prior to breaking down and was flying along the motor very smoothly and again on the way home.
    Thanks in advance lads.
    Kevin

If it is the indie near turners cross, I filled there a few weeks ago and had no problem.
