Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Has anyone used head sails on their kayaks?

I was thinking of getting one for my Tootega Pulse kayak.

I was intending to use in out when its choppy and a bit of a wind there, for a bit of craic.
Can you get decent speeds out of them?

The one I looked at is the below, as it looks sturdy compared to others I have seen, and is made purely for sit on tops...

    go kayak sails

Just google gokayaksails wont let me add the link, for some ridiculous reason...

You have to have 50 posts before you can post links....

You could always try this as it need no mods to the canoe

Find them brilliant. Got my sails from this place: http://www.darrenskayaks.com/. Just did a decent kayak/sail trip a couple of weeks ago (http://tinyurl.com/lpclt5l). They can give you decent speed with the correct type of kayak; for example, through swell just with the sail and no paddling the sail was giving me 6km an hour.

Suggest looking for a simple sail/kayak attachment and easy to pop up or drop down while on the water.
