    Hello,

Anyone know if there are any "Rolling Roads" in the Limerick/Munster area?
The only place I can find in Ireland is Westward Precision Engineering Ltd.
    in Enfield, Co. Meath. ( www.westwardeng.com )

    Thanks.

A rolling road is simply a machine that you put your car on. Each wheel sits between two rollers and hence the car can accelerate without moving, the resistence of the rollers can be varied and at the end of it all it gives you a decent approximation of your cars bhp and torque.

Oh and I have no clue where any are in Ireland

    It's a 1990 Toyota MR2 Mk2 G-Limited ( Jap Import ).
You can't miss it, it's the red one with the "L" plate in the back window :D

No mods - Just want to know what the BHP is, check the timing / speedo, etc.

I'm also helping my old man install a new engine in his MR2 Turbo ( he liked mine so much, he bought his own ), so that will need to be checked as well when it's finished.

Buggered if I can find a rolling road in the Limerick area.

Do rolling roads do both front and rear wheel drive cars??

    You mean a dyno?
No mods - Just want to know what the BHP is, check the timing / speedo, etc.

At any rate you are not going to get a BHP figure, you will end up with your wheel hp, probably about 20% less than the BHP figure, the loss is accounted for by the transmission.

Yes dynos measure both front and rear wheel drive, the problem is with 4wds, specialised equipment necessary (2 rollers or disconnect the drive to the front or rear wheels)

As for where any are, havent a clue.
