Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hm. Not impressed with the body, but i could certainly make good use of the neck and pick-ups :)

    I DON'T LIKE IT!

    :p

I don't like it either. I just found it interesting.

The 25th Anniversary one was an M-II with a black brushed aluminium pickguard, dual EMG 81's, the 25th logo etched on the pickguard and a tribal inlay on the neck.

    Oh dear!

It looks like a piece of melted plastic with a fretboard attached!

    Damo

    You said it.

As far as crazy guitar designs go, that one pretty much sucks ass. Whoever was given the job of designing this piece of 'art', should be sacked.

Hey, don't insult BC Rich! They've made some beautiful guitars.

I can understand why they'd want to make something wierd to show of their luthier skills, but to try and sell it afterwards? Ach no! It's too ugly. It's the only guitar you'd have to play with a brown paper bag over it so you don't get arrested :)

    Anyone remember the Devil Girl?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 11,848 ✭✭✭✭Doctor J

Yeah, did you ever see the penis bass on ebay?

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 23,361 Mod ✭✭✭✭feylya

Is that the one with the fluff?

    I know the Wangcaster.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 11,848 ✭✭✭✭Doctor J

No, this was custom made for some punk band in the late 70's, flesh coloured, full on ballbag and all.

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 23,361 Mod ✭✭✭✭feylya

Ì can only think of the wangcaster. I remember you posted it before though.

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 23,361 Mod ✭✭✭✭feylya

One of the most interesting anyway. Sold quite wel too, iirc. Only good to hang on the wall though.

    NOE. NOE THEY'RE NOT! NOOOOO

The look perfect in that guitar. ESP + EMG = Super Happy Fun Time!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 11,848 ✭✭✭✭Doctor J

They look ugly. Dull. Soulless. They'd fit in well in a Roland 707

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 23,361 Mod ✭✭✭✭feylya

That's why you get them painted.... Then you can't even see the things!!!

Now silence you or I'll get a MIM strat... WITH EMG's!!!

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 23,361 Mod ✭✭✭✭feylya

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 23,361 Mod ✭✭✭✭feylya

    You're just old :p

TBH, the 90's wasn't much better. And the 80's had loads of decent bands.

Hey, they followed up some awful guitar design with some awful website design. You have to give them credit for that kind of consistency. As for the 30th Anniversary one... its like someone said "Lets make the worst designed guitar in history and see if anyone will buy it out of prestige". It even looks uncomfortable to hold. It might be useful for trashing the stage after a gig though.

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 23,361 Mod ✭✭✭✭feylya

It's Japan tbh. What did you expect?

It's not really a guitar to play, more to hang on your wall...

****ing Timmy Mallet???!!! He was the man!!!

Anyways, I stagger off to the newest local guitar emporium to **** with the owners head and see if I can't get employment.

He does student nights now. Tours universities, plays mallet's mallet with drunken teenagers, etc. He makes his money anyway.

Don't knock the 80's. Someday I'm going to have the "Pat Sharpe Mullet". ;)
