I have a situation where my credit card company have paid a telephone bill and there is no direct debit in place, I have not yet got written confirmation but it appears that the phone company applied for the payment and the credit card company paid the bill. The bill involved is insignificant and I did use the service but I want to have it investigated.
I would be grateful for any advise, I do know that financial ombudsman's office deals with complaints but I had an issue in the past and they took over a year to investigate and nothing happened.

    many thanks

Seems like a banking issue rather than a consumer issue. Thread moved.
