Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Off-topic but this thread has made me very interested in finding out if there's a really comprehensive book of breeds that can be purchased anywhere. ;) It's actually been really interesting looking some of them up.

    http://www.amazon.com/EYEWITNESS-COMPANION-GUIDES-Bruce-Fogle/dp/0756616921

That's a tough one. Is it a Grand Bleu De Gascogne?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,964 ✭✭✭Cherry Blossom

    How about this:

    http://www.amazon.com/Dog-Breed-Bible-Descriptions-Recognized/dp/0764160001/ref=sr_1_7?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1313961118&sr=1-7

Are there any breeds that are recognised elsewhere but not with the AKC?
    Unlikely I would imagine.

    /End of OT posting :o

    Tibetan-Mastiff-3.jpg

Looks like an ungroomed tibetan mastiff.

Edit: just read up on them, In India the big mane is called "lion head" and there's a shorter mane variety called "tiger head", This looks like it should be the Lionhead variety!

    Not the keeshond either.

@ISDW- looks like a siberian husky to me though I could be wrong on that. Looks like a sibe at least, but with a finer structure so I'm guessing a racer?
