Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Diesel of petrol? If petrol you should be able to pull some DTC fault codes.

The DTi has a couple of candidates for causing a down on power engine WITHOUT a MIL on. If its smokey, an EGR valve stuck open or leaky intake trunking are likely.

If there's no smoke, the MAF is a likely cause - especially if it's a Bosch. Disconnect it and see if the car improves.

If you don't know the car's history, change the fuel filter. They can clog if neglected.

Failing all of this, I'd be looking at a code scan and live data read, even if the MIL is not on. Although to be fair, these things have a habit of putting the MIL on at the drop of a hat. :D

Bosch MAF's aren't great, cheap Chinese replacements on eBay are woeful and to be avoided. Pierburg MAF's are best of the lot.
