I'm cautiously, cautiously, optimistic for this. Only because I like Chloe Moretz. I haven't read the book, since it apparently falls into the same camp as the fault in our stars which I loathed. But we'll see

^ I quite like her too but I have to wonder why she seems to be falling into this teen rubbish trap. Obviously I haven't seen this yet, maybe it's good, but as you say it seems to be very much in the vein of The Fault in Our Stars. She's also signed up to do some other YA fiction adaptations. Can't remember which they are right now.

I thought she'd go the way of Saoirse Ronan playing children but in adult films (not porn!) That said I suppose Ronan did do The Host which I think was a flop and then How I Live Now, which was excellent but still a YA fiction adaptation.

It's definitely a swing and a miss, unfortunately.

    Few points

    - Chloe Moretz was completely wrong for the role. She's supposed to be a withdrawn, shy, classical music player. She isn't.
    - who the hell was the random nurse who kept telling her she had to fight and hold on. Maybe this is something left over from the book.
    - Every time I saw the boyfriend on screen, he was so smug I wanted to punch him.
    - Full of teenage rubbish, it made me cringe.
    - Full of just little things. Why would the parents let her stay out all night with a bloke she just met? The cool parents things is incredibly over done. The whole story thing was ****e.

Not as bad as the fault in our stars, I'd say. But not much good.
