Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I know how ridiculous this sounds, because yes, it is.

Customs took 40 beef jerky off me (bashtads). On the letter I found in my pretty much empty box, it said people can be fined €200. Has anyone been fined for this? Already lost all the cash I blew on 40 fine ass pieces of beef.

What was the country of origin? It may have been contaminated.

Do you not watch Border Patrol? You need to fly out and smuggle it back in your rectum, under a wig or in hollowed out shoe soles.

Don't pay any fine...get prosecuted....go to prison for the grand sum of 15 seconds and away you go.

    You're welcome

And it helps if ever applying to emigrate! "Ohh, you've been to Jail! Wow, come on in, we love to see that sort of stuff!"

Don't pay the fine and get yourself down to the Phoenix Park, venison jerky beats out beef any day, it is a little deerer but no import issues.

Beef jerky from the States may carry harmful microscopic organisms that could decimate our indigenous beef jerky population if released into the wild.

    Consider yourself lucky OP.

Make your own beef jerky OP.

It's as much a rite of passage for a man as ****ting with the door open, talking about pussy and going on riverboat gambling trips.

That's twice you've said that. I'm Irish you little cretin. Power to the beef.

I brought some back with me from China and there was no problem with customs.
Although it mightn't have been beef......tbh I don't know what it was but it was definitely some sort of animal product anyway. My friend asked me to bring her some weird Chinese snack food and that's what was available at the airport so that's what she got. Pretty sure she just fed it to her dog.

I buy these - normally get a 60 pack every few months. The teriyaki is my favourite, Cajun hot is great too. They do sample mixed packs so you can try out different flavours.

    Very quick delivery too.

I peeked at that site. They have free samples on request.
I doubt they would send any to Canada.

Yeah the stuff in the petrol stations is dirt. I was after some nice lean proper beef jerky. Does biltong take long to do?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,150 ✭✭✭kumate_champ07

I think I saw that Irish stuff in Discount Supplements Terenure store.

Im gonna make it myself sometime, it seems to be expensive no matter where you buy it and its just lean cut of beef dried out with spices and vacuum packed.

Ive had Chinese jerky from the Asian store at jervis st luas stop. but that was fish I think, not sure if I had meat there too but I wouldnt chance it as you wouldnt know what youre getting. it was also too sweet.

2 or 3 days if you have a fan oven (2 for a bit moist, 3 if you like dry)
