Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Am I the only one who feels that you'd do better yourself.

I wont name names, but half the time I read these article I think "you'd see a lot better on boards.ie - why is this man/ woman getting national exposure for this nonsense"......

Obviously there are a few good ones. But too many duds.

Half the articles in the indo/sindo are "inspired" by After Hours as far as I can tell.

Opinion pieces are the DJ chatter of print journalism - cheap and plentiful.

    I will name names
    Brenda Power
    Kevin Myers
    Matt Cooper
    Ian O'Doherty
I would prefer an advert in their place.

It is genuinely distressing to realise that John Waters is being paid to insert his opinions into a national newspaper.

I would prefer a collage of election posters instead of his column

Can we add Kitty Holland to this list....?

Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one.

kitty holland is not a columnist, more activist journalist

but I would add fintan o'toole and vincent browne to the list even if I generally agree with them they should pitch a actual journalist story twice a week and it gets in if its good and not if it isn't.

People would be very foolish to take too much heed of these columnists.

Usually they have a vested interest or a drum to beat.

I wouldn't sweat too much about them.
