Man jailed for selling fake penises

The owners of the company that sold the Whizzinator - a prosthetic penis used to mask dirty urine - were sentenced Wednesday in federal court.
Gerald Wills, 67, of San Pedro, Calif., was ordered to serve six months in prison. Robert Dennis Catalano, 65, of Huntington Beach, Calif., was sentenced to three years probation.
Mr. Wills had a previous drug conviction in federal court.
The two men pleaded guilty to conspiracy to defraud the United States and conspiracy to sell drug paraphernalia in November 2008.
They operated Puck Technology Inc., a company that sold prosthetic penises online under the name, "The Whizzinator."
The idea behind the product, and another one named, "Number 1," made for both men and women, was for users to hide clean urine in them so that when they were required to undergo a urine drug screen, their tests would come back negative.
Under federal law, the masking products are illegal.
The charges dated from October 2005 through May 2008.

A functioning prosthetic penis that can mimic urination with fake urine could be used for many things. Don't see why it should be illegal. I guess what got them was probably the wording on their website (they probably advertised the product as being speicifically for "passing drug tests" :rolleyes:.

idk....i guess people would like such a product for the novelty factor alone, i could imagine some people having a laugh using it in front of friends. I mean, if you're gonna have a fake penis, why not have one that pees?

The point is it's not the state's place to question such uses.
