Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Dog in Car to UK and back?

    Hi can I confirm with someone the situation re: brining my mutts over to UK in the car (stenaline) for a week and back? Dogs can travel freely between UK-IRL?

    As I read it I think I can but if its europe then you need the passport /records etc?

    No problem at all, there's free movement between Ireland and the UK.

    Yes, you dont need any paperwork, passport etc to travel back and forth to the UK.

    Make sure you bring enough water/food and they are let out for a strech before getting on the boat as they are not allowed to get out of the car(unless they are tiny and you can carry them around in a doggy bag:)

    I've done the journey a few times with my guys, on Irish Ferries and Stena.
    There's no problem at all, I just leave them in their cages in the car while on the boat ( I wasn't overly keen on the kennels:o). In both ferrry terminals I walked them around so they got to stretch their legs and go for a wee.

    No chance of that happenin, we go over wit our dog quite a bit and always leave her in the car.

    Saw a woman last year on the Swift (Irish Ferries), she had one of them little yappy things, it was in some sort of a pram/buggy/box, it was sealed in but she was escorted downstairs by the crew and ordered to put it into the kennels provided
