I have a 1975 lady lavery £20 note in good condition, any idea what I would get for it or will I hold on to it? Also wondering what a provisional bank of Ireland one pound c. 1830s is worth?

have a look on Ebay. Do not look at the "BUT IT NOW" prices but do an advanced search for what these notes have actually been sold for.
