Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    "Eleven people, including several children, were injured when they jumped from the third-story window of a suburban Paris apartment building, an official said.
    It wasn't known if they jumped on purpose or were forced, the judicial official said. There was no emergency in the building at the time, such as a fire.
    The victims are of African origin, possibly from Angola, and an initial investigation suggested they jumped after one of the women involved became hysterical and started shouting she'd seen the devil, the official said."

    I wonder if this is a case of Paris Syndrome : Paris Syndrome is characterized by a number of psychiatric symptoms such as acute delusional states, hallucinations, feelings of persecution, derealization, depersonalization.........

    They jumped because one woman claimed to see the devil? ffs. How long would it take for 11 people to jump out one window anyway? After 1st few, were the jumpers aiming for a clear spot, or were they landing on the others?
    You would think people who jumped 2nd and later would look down, think oh dear, that looks quite painful, what with their guts spilled onto the footpath, perhaps i wont jump.
