anybody here use snort?? im going to try and develop a project/application to use in conjunction with snort not sure what language ill be using but C and PHP seem the business havent started the spec's of the project yet as im still looking up stuff to do with the project any ideas/tips would be great as to what to avoid…

def going to try have some trace route/ ping/ who is function (if doable of course) in my application

Maybe off topic, Adams question a couple of months back on APF it now plugins with snorts ids.

found some topics related to snort but nothing that helpfull really in developing ideas
