Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Maybe someone will enjoy this. If you want the accompanying Mp3, PM me, as it's ~500KB:-

    Song: Budweiser "Theme"
    By: ?
    Tuning: Open D Tuning - D A D F# A D

Drop 6th String to D (7th Fret Relative to 5th String).
    Leave 5th String
    Leave 4th String.
Drop 3rd String to F# (Relative to 4th String, 3rd Fret).
Drop 2nd String to A (Relative to 5th String).
Drop 1st String to D (Relative to 4th String).

Notes: The "song" is an Ad for Budweiser. It's played on a Gibson Les Paul, I don't know the specific type.
A metal slide is used (worn on the pinky), Middle pickup for tone (I think, just use whatever you think sounds best).

I've noted where to play not using the slide, so it should'nt be much trouble. Enjoy!

    Legend :-

    ~ - Vibrato
    / - Slide (Metal)
    b - Bend
    r - Release
    h - Hammer on
    p - Pull off

Fair play on posting that man..fun tune..I think it was John Lee Hooker that played it..the late great man himself..

All those adds were fantastic..remeber the guy tap dancing..or the dewd playing piano..far better than those ****ing frogs and lizards..

    anyways god bless mr hooker

    all the best

I pm'd you about mp3. I cant find it anywhere. Such a class tune to look "cool" with:) Now I have to contend with Nemisis playing it too. GRR!

    A few more things,

Set the height of the strings pretty high (i.e. lower the bridge), or it'll be impossible to play slide with the strings so close to the fretboard, unless you have a gentle-touch. Use decent gauge strings, and a metal (brass, I think) slide. I find it works best on my ring-finger.

Oh, and if you play it on a Fender, you shall be shot ;)

I've got lots of tab's (old ones from OLGA, and ones I've done myself), so if you're looking for anything, PM me. I've tabbed "Cold Sweat" and "Thunder and Lightning" from Thin Lizzy (when John Sykes was playing with them) which were very hard, considering the speed at which they're played!

I play it on a fender:)
Sounds good. And my action is v.low, but I manage it without any hassle. I've tabbed Nightrain and Rocket Queen by GNR, Grace by Jeff Buckley, Dazed and Confused by Led Zeppelin, Just by Radiohead and some more which I can't remember. There all on olga.net

Sorry to be the new guy digging up old threads but i have a question that I was hoping you lot could help me out on.

Is that Bud ad just an improv. by Hooker or is it off an actual song?
His official site seems to suggest it's a song called Farmer's Daughter.

Anyone know what album this is on? He's got about 100...

    Cheers.
