Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Campus. Channel 4, 10pm Tuesday.
One of the best comedies in recent times. Original, subversive and politically incorrect. Wonderful.
The Vice Chancellor's similarity to Ricky Gervais is perplexing though.

I recorded it.. but then I saw it was from the makers of 'Green Wing' which I absolutely loathed.

    So I'm torn..

I enjoyed it. The trailer had me worried it was going to be like recent seasons of Skins without the drama but I was wrong. Very fresh and quite intelligent too. Be interesting to see if it develops into a series.

It's a far cry from Green Wing, which I also loathed. There's a surreal edge to it too, which stays with you.
If you're watching it on c4 OD, have a look at the clip at around 21+ minutes where the Vice Chancellor has an uninvited conversation with three Indian gentlemen - some people could find it offensive. I replayed it over and over and it just got funnier.
Good, original comedy is as scarce as hair on a worm.

The second episode was slower than the first. I'll stick with it though.

It's quite similar to Green Wing, even the music reminds me of Green Wing. But yeah, written by Green Wing's writer. I think it's great so far, the Vice Chancellor is good, but at times they seem to be trying to make him too offensive. Not that I'm offended, it's more so that they're piling it on quite thick.

    I'm feeling a bit of a d**k now :o
I somehow confused 'Green Wing' with the 'West Wing'. I thought Green wing was ok though - the few bits I saw, that is.
I'll go away now and stop interfering.

Brilliant piece of comedy. I saw last night's episode which was the second with George the 'don't spend too much money' lady. They really are trying to work in a bit of romance and drama, which the Office did most succesfully of them all. I thought it worked ...still need to see some more which can't be a bad sign

its a bit the office meets black books, not great but worth a watch to pass the time

The office was about pathos, Campus is about surrealism. What both have in common though, is how life becomes absurd within a totally secure and comfortable institution.

Just picked up on this recently and have been working my way through the first few episodes.

I think this is an excellent show, i didnt really watch much of the Green Wing so i'm not sure how the writing compares. But the characters in Campus and their dynamics work really well. And there are even erection jokes :D

    Looking forward to watching more.
