Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    • Please nominate for the Best Special Effects of 2014!
    • Up to 4 nominations per person
    • You can justify your selections if you want, but don't criticise other peoples' selections
    • The movie must have been in Irish Cinemas between January 1st and December 31st 2014
    • This is the second of three batches of nominations. The final batch will follow over the next few days and weeks, followed by voting
    • Upon release of the next batch of nominations, all threads in this batch will be temporarily closed but will briefly re-open prior to voting - this will be your last chance to submit nominations.

Edge of Tomorrow (For knowing when to use them and for being a blockbuster and still knowing less is more and real is better)
X-Men: Days of Future Past (For Quicksilver’s slow motion scene alone)
The Signal (For what they accomplished with their total film budget of ~$4 Million)
    Interstellar (Can't leave it out)

Edge of Tomorrow (Impressive 'behind the scenes' stuntwork from the Cruiser belting through REAL explosions)
